Well...alot has happened. I am chomping at the bit to tell you what the hell has been holding me up. No, I'm not dead...just got periodically strangled by red tape and paper weaponry. Yes. I signed some pretty screwed up contracts when I was a young moron. And yes. I've suffered a few...setbacks (to say the least). Just to give you an idea: fine print exists in record contracts sometimes that can prevent an artist from singing any songs that were recorded during the term of their contract--for up to 7 years! (Shizz! I might be sued for singing "Angry Johnny" in my shower!) It's amazing how much trouble you can get into when your write a little ditty and sing it to your friends. Yes. It's a brutal business. But that's okay. No worries. I'm a brutal artist.
In any case, I've written a little short story for you THE PSYCHO Captains Log#6919811914 that sort of sums up the obstacles I've faced. (After all, I can't get sued for writing satire!) This story may seem a bit off-the-wall. I'm hoping some of you will get the references and be able to deicpher a few things. I had quite a laugh writing it! It's my way of letting you all know: not one day goes by, that I don't thank my lucky stars that you have all hung in there! I'll be singing again soon. I am hopeful the oligarch was totally destroyed and we don't have to wait 7 years (well, less than 6 when you account for the red tape bondage) to hear some of our favorites "live and in person", "at a venue near you" Even if we do, I know you'll have a whole slew of incredibly entertaining and moving music for me to get totally addicted to...again. Glad to see you've found your way back!
I loved the story. I had as much fun reading it, as I'm sure you had writing it. It seems that the significance of November seems to continually re-invent itself. Perhaps one day, when I can collect my thoughts a littel better, I will share my journals of my adventures & experiences on the good ship that became lost. Thanks you so much for your inspiration and soul soothing sounds and words. My life would not be as complete without them. Your music will always hold a special place in my collection. I can't wait to hear what's next. The clouds are thinning and the sun is beginning to shine again. (This means a lot to a Canadian freezing his ass off  )
